Pastoral Care

Braeview School has the services of a Christian Pastoral Support Worker (CPSW). Christian Pastoral Support Workers have skills for working with young people and families in the school community. Although the pastoral care worker’s title includes ‘Christian’, they do not discuss Christian beliefs.

Our CPSW

  • Works in collaboration with parents, teachers and Principal to support students
  • May support by listening (no counselling) to students with issues that include bullying, friendship issues, social skills, family separation, anger management, worry – is a support only and will refer students/ parents to appropriate services
  • Is a support, resource and referral person for families in the school community
  • Works with others in the school and its community to develop services, programs and strategies that meet the needs of 5 – 13 year old children living in our area
